You, the listener
What is a listener? Is it the people that the government hires to listen in on phone conversations or your computer chats?
No silly! Listeners are the other part of T61. There are essentially two main parts of T61, the artists (noise makers) and the listeners (picky sumbishes). I kid.
Really though, the listeners are the people who listen to the artists on T61. They heart, they give plays, they comment, they … well they listen to the music! They can also make you some money (if you're an artist). So you could be like a client for them, and they're the prostitutes. You give them money and in return you get an awesome song or album. You can also tip credits. Kind of like you would tip a waitress except they're not making you any food. Which may be a good thing…
But wait, what is an advantage of being a listener other than listening to music? Artists don't get to do a whole lot other than make music and upload it. Their goal is to get listeners, hearters, and tippers. Your goal as a listener involves so much more!
There are quests you can do, which give you reputation points, which get you leveled up. Kind of like an RPG but without the nerdy people who miss showering for a raid. Although there could very well be some stinky people on T61, but let's not think about that.
You can heart songs, complete quests, get reputation and hearts for inviting new users, Listen to a thing called The Rack and earn more hearts and reputation, join user groups and interact with other listeners. You can save songs and put tags on them, kind of like personal folders you put on your computer. People with organization OCD (such as myself) will find this handy!
